Data / Telemetry analysis of Silverstone GP Formula 3 iRacing

Here’s my track analysis for Silvertone GP in iRacing Formula 3 using Data / Telemetry. Don’t miss it.

Today I’m going to explain one of the most valuable and common ways to analyze performance in the race track and compare it with other drivers.

As we can see in this graphic, iRACING FORMULA 3 SILVERSTONE GP, in this data analysis we have 7 things to analyze:

  • Speed: You analyze who is faster, depending on how you brake and how you release the brake and several things you can analyze this part.
  • Time: Where you are losing time to focus first on the biggest places and then the smaller ones.
  • Line distance: This refers to where you are in the track so you know when you put the mouse above it.
  • Throttle: How you release and put throttle back again, in slow, medium, and fast corners.
  • Brake: How you brake, the power(pressure) you put on it, in this corner as you see is a hard braking one, you have to do a pick first and after release, this is called a V braking.
  • Steering angle: You see here how much steering you put, as less steering angle you put and smoother, the faster you will GENERALLY be
  • Clutch: In this case, we are not using it so we don’t need to analyze it, normally we use it to analyze the starts of the race.

Do you have any doubts about telemetry? I hope this post is useful. Don’t hesitate and write to me if you’d like further information.
